New Sheets Would Make Us Smile!

My Students

Our school is a Title I school in a high poverty, agricultural area. Many Pre-K students are bilingual in English and Spanish; some are migrant students. Most of our students come to Pre-K with very little exposure to language and literacy. The students are eager to learn, and it is our pleasure to teach them. The students love to sing, explore, and play. It is our goal to expose them to as many learning experiences as possible in their time as Pre-K students. We aim to get the students accustomed to using technology since it is such an important factor in their futures. We introduce them to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities, which are usually hands-on activities.

My Project

Our current sheets are plain white and fitted sheet style. The students struggle to keep the sheets on the rest mats and to replace the sheets when they come off. The new sheets are alphabet patterned flannel sheets that are pillowcase style. The rest mat will slide into the sheet like a pillowcase, and the students will no longer struggle to fix their sheets. The new sheets will be warmer than the regular sheets. I know the students would love the new design and fabric! I am requesting 22 new sheets because we have 22 rest mats. The new rest mat sheets will be appreciated by both students and teachers!
