My Students

Students begin a typical day in the classroom by working on different skills needed to accomplish much larger tasks throughout the school year. Being able to be comfortable while they do this will increase the ability of the student to focus while learning.

My students come from many different elementary schools to IB middle school.

They have different backgrounds and learning styles. Most students need to move or be comfortable in order for learning to take place at all. These new seats will allow greater focus while keeping kids in a place they can learn.

My Project

Currently we have desks that are equipped with fidget rests in which students are able to swing their feet while seated or standing. A few of these desks don't have quality seating or are in seats that match the older style desks that I'm moving away from in the classroom.

Middle school students face so many challenges and being comfortable should be the least of their worries.

The more they can feel like sitting down in come quality seats the more they are likely to put in some quality effort.
