Our school is in a high poverty area of Southern Indiana, where the schools are the center of the town. Our schools utilize every resource available to ensure that students have what they need to succeed. We thrive in a 1:1 device classroom, and collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication are the center of every project we complete. The goal for each student is to enjoy learning.
My Project
These items will provide more seating for my first grade students. Currently, we do not have enough seating in our flexible areas. The stools will provide a space for my students to sit at our meeting table. We use this table during small group time, and we are currently moving chairs back and forth to utilize the space. The stools will make transitions much easier.
Students love to move, even during times when you need them to listen.
The flex bands will provide my students an outlet to move their little bodies while listening at their tables during whole group instruction time.
