My Students

What I love about my students is that they fight and deal with adversity every day and still come to school to try to better themselves and their families. Their drive and determination inspires me to be the best influencer in their lives.

Making sure that my students do not become just another statistic, but active, intelligent members of the society, is my life’s mission.

I love them. Shining a little light in a place that may seem dark. Amazing!

My Project

The help and assistance I’m requesting will help foster curious and creative learners. I’m a new first year teacher, teaching 1st grade at a school where a number of children don't know when and where their next meal will come from, or unfortunately even where they will sleep that night. But when they come to school, they know they are safe, loved, and can rely on any teacher to give them a snack when they are hungry. The school I work at was created to give homeless children a fair and just education and we aim to accomplish these goals.
