This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our students who are new to the country often come to school missing everyday supplies like writing utensils and paper. It makes the transition to a new school so much easier if these supplies are available to them from their first day. Our school student body is also made up of 50% English Language Learners (ELL). Learning a new language AND new academic content is already challenging enough without having the added barrier of missing materials for school.

Having essential school supplies like pencils, pens, paper and folders helps set up my students for success on day one!
