This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What makes my students special is the flexibility they have to adapt to a new country. Most of my students are asylum seekers who have been through difficult situations and, despite this, they come to school eager to learn.
The new headphones will help my middle school bilingual students as they access online resources.
They will help them focus as they work and learn online. The dry-erase markers will be used by students as they demonstrate their work on their whiteboards during math. The new classroom storage tray center will allow them to keep all their assigned work organized and easily accessible.
The use of these materials will allow equality of resources for all.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
