My Project

With nearly 800 students in our school, art supplies don’t last long, especially paper. I use a lot of cardstock to give them a quality piece of art to be proud of. I find that quality materials motivate kids to do their best work and put in a good effort. In my classroom, we learn basic art skills that can be used throughout their education and life. We also learn about artists to hopefully inspire my students to dream.

Creative kids are content kids.

When children spend time creating, it relaxes them and prepares them to take on the other stresses of the day. I have seen even the most irrational and overwhelmed children find a sense of calm during art time.
