Students at my school are definitely trendsetters! They are currently the outstanding foundation for the next generation, as many are considered low income, or troubled students, but these students are surpassing all obstacles and not only completing high-school coursework, but are also working to attain an Associate’s Degree in a designated field upon their high school graduation! The students are so close knit, and focused, not only on academics but building strong relationships as they endure their high school experience within a school, that’s nonetheless, of the future. These kids have so many reasons to give up, but they do not. They trust me as their teacher and I instill in each of them that they will SUCCEED!
My Project
The materials in my project will provide for easy and direct access to allow each child the fundamentals to become auditory and visual learners. Reading is already hard enough with having these types of aides. The devices here will allow for easier flow to engage and listen to audiobooks as well as allow for me to provide direct and immediate feedback without having to continuously stop and switch between the use of devices between myself and students. Many of the students here do not have direct access to internet services or devices while at home, so I enjoy allowing them to use the devices in the classroom, before class, and during our personal study sessions, as well as providing different sign out methods, allowing them to take and use these resources while away from school, so that they can continue this learning at home.
