My Project

My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom environment where students feel welcome and comfortable. Decorating the room and utilizing the space provided is crucial to creating a learning environment that meets the needs for all students.

I am changing grade levels looking for new rugs for my classroom next year to meet the needs of younger students.

One rug will be a gathering space to create a sense of community in the classroom and another to provide a safe space when students need a moment on their own. The classroom rug brings the room together—physically and through connection.
