My students need several items such as geoboards, magna-tiles and sensory mats to promote sensory skills and build fine motor skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class size may be small, but we sure don't act like it! This year our school has added on an additional Early Childhood Special Ed classroom and we just keep getting more students. Being a first year classroom, our supplies are low and we are searching for more.
The students in my Early Childhood classroom are eager to learn!
Our classroom contains 5 hard workers in the AM class and 9 just as hard working students in the PM class all ranging from ages 3-5 years old. We have a wide array of learners that are just growing by the minute! We view ourselves as a classroom community and take care of one another. They are fun, energetic, happy little students begging for more opportunities to explore!
My Project
The materials we are requesting will strengthen our fine motor skills and sensory skills while having fun! They will also be discovering new ways to play in the water table using the droppers and watering cans to build their imagination and curiosity. They will use their problem solving skills matching the different sizes of the bones in the science area while strengthening their fine motor skills digging for the bones in a bucket filled with dirt. The sensory mats are perfect tools for the students to sit on during circle time to help get any wiggles out and build concentration. The Magna-Tiles are always fun to use to construct towers and buildings which will be our next unit of study. We can use the Magna-Tiles to talk about walls, the floor and the roof on houses as well as use our imagination to create skyscrapers, castles and other extravagant buildings!
Please help improve our classroom!
I know that these few supplies will spark their interest and get them actively engaged in learning all on their own. Some of the students in the classroom have never experienced tools like these, which makes it exciting to get a project like this hopefully funded. We promote independence in my classroom and I really think this can help them on their way!
