Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are active, high energy, eager learners who love hands on activities to help them meet their goals. They come in the Speech Room every day ready to learn!! My students all have speech and language impairments and come to me in small groups to address their needs.
Our students come from a variety of economic backgrounds with many of them qualifying for free lunch.
Our school is a Title One school. The classroom teachers don't always receive all of their requested supplies and in Speech we always have to provide our own.
My Project
As a school based speech language pathologist, my goal is to individuallly address the needs of each of my students. Their needs are always changing and no one knows if we will be meeting in person or continue remote learning for the upcoming school year. To help my students as best as I can, I am always searching for new resources to help them reach their goals.
I love being able to provide my students with resources spefically targeting towards their individual needs.
I like for my students to be able to have adequate individualized resources to take home for practice as well as to utilize during our sessions.
