This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are 9th graders and new to high school and our community. They love to learn, especially when they are engaged with the materials. Unfortunately, we still are waiting for our newly approved school library to receive books. So, as teachers, we still have to rely on our classroom libraries.
Learning is so much easier and fun when you are excited and interested in what you are reading! This project will help provide my students with new books filled with people who look like they do and share similar backgrounds and cultures. These books are also all topics and genres that young teens will enjoy.
