This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I provide all my energy to students who range from a myriad of disabilities and personalities.
Some of these disabilities include specific learning disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, fetal alcohol syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD.
Most of my students require social-emotional and academic supports in order to access the curriculum. My students learn differently, they require many accommodations and resources to help them become successful. Nevertheless, working with our students it is very regarding seeing them grow as a person and academically.
My Project
We are depending more on blended learning, and we are seeking new reading opportunities for our special needs students to be exposed to. Our students have read many books online, yet, they have not been exposed to fresh articles. Our students eventually get overwhelmed or not motivated using the same programs for reading. Our students get attracted to colorful articles with the information they can relate to. Therefore, we seek to get subscriptions to these wonderful TIME For Kids magazines that dedicate their time to catching the student's eye for enhancing students' reading habits.

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
