Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This upcoming school year I will be changing from a regular classroom setting to an intervention position. With this new position, I will be working with a. greater number of students with varying learning styles and needs. I will hold small group sessions in order to best target the skills each particular group of students will need. We will use our pencils, pens, and highlighters to make notations in order to improve our comprehension and computation skills. Our rug will be used during small group rotations. I have found that my students enjoy the flexible seating I’ve had in my classroom and a new rug will allow one more place for my students to sit to learn. Additionally, after 12 years of loyal service, our classroom printer died and we are hoping to replace it. A printer in the classroom allows students to print articles, stories, and even reports that they have created further building and enhancing our classroom community.
