My Project

I have some extraordinary students in my hallway this year! My students have shared the word with friends in other grades about the awesome classroom library we have in our classroom. I've always allowed my former students to return to borrow books but now I have students in the three grades below asking to borrow books. I can't say no! Over 500 students make their way to my classroom during the week to check out new books to read.

These books will make a huge impact on these students because they have specifically requested these titles to be added to our bookshelves.

If they are requesting the books, it is guaranteed that they won't be staying on the shelves long!

I want to see the excitement in their eyes when they are able to choose to read a book that interests them and give them the empowerment to keep forging ahead. Students will be able to check out books from my library to read in their free time and when they finish their work early. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunity to read.

Our extra supply cupboard is running low, specifically our crayon supply. I want my students to be able to finish their year and their science interactive notebook strong. Having a few extra sets of crayons to be able to hand to a student in need would be the cherry on top of the awesome school year that we've had!
