My students need Creative Bits with Children's Lit, Recorder Frolics Teacher Edition - Book/CD - Performance Pack, Recorder Frolics Student Edition, and Simply Speaking (Book/CD ROM) to keep them engaged and moving forward in their music education.
My students are energetic and creative. They love coming to music class twice a week. We're a Title 1 school with many musical opportunities. We have an after-school choir, an after-school world music drumming ensemble, band and orchestra. Almost every grade level performs in a special concert once a year.
Music gives my students a creative outlet during their day.
They are often in the driver's seat of their class. The students decide where to take a lesson and how to improve their musicianship as individuals or as a class. They have opportunities to try new things in a supportive atmosphere and can refine their musicianship in areas they feel they are strong.
My Project
My students, no matter what age, love to sing, move and play instruments. These teacher resource and student books will support creative music making in my classroom with fresh, new lessons. Recorder Frolics, with its sequential, Orff-Schulwerk inspired recorder lessons, is appropriate for my fourth and fifth grade students. My kindergarten through second grade students will delight in bringing stories to life with lessons from Creative Bits for Children's Lit. Simply Speaking has speech activities for each grade, with added instruments and movement.
My musicians learn best when they are actively engaged in making and creating music.
I want my students to experience high quality musical activities so they can become the best musicians possible, both now and as they grow into adults. Planting the seeds of a strong music education now will enrich their lives forever!
