New Music Classroom!

Help me give my students a brand new music classroom! While I will still be teaching beginner band, I will also be teaching general music from pre-k all the way through 5th grade! Books, incentives, and musical play!

Next year, I will be taking on the general music position at G

My students will include Pre-K through 5th graders, and I want to provide them the best opportunities for music making and learning! For all grades, but especially the younger classes, learning through play will be my emphasis. How can we tell if a piece is in major or minor tonality? Perhaps our puppets will tell us how they are feeling! How can we determine if a song is in duple or triple meter? Let's get out the egg shakers and count by twos or threes. How can music help us improve our listening skills? How about using piano mats. Or learn about the world around us? So many wonderful questions that I am so excited about exploring with my students!
