This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a diverse population of almost entirely minority students in attendance, including many English learners, and several students who are barely speaking any English. We have great staff members who love the kids and support them in all aspects of their education. Safety is our number one priority in my school.

We hope to provide a well-rounded music education, where music class is “cool,” and kids look forward to coming to class.

We are finding ourselves in need of some supplies to help maintain our growing music program.

My Project

We are excited to have our new jazz band underway this year and we would like to purchase some high quality jazz mouthpieces for some of our saxophone players. Our students participate in jazz band after school twice a week. Your support will help my students to experience Jazz Music at a deeper level. Those bent notes? This will help them achieve that. The unique characteristic Jazz Saxophone sound? We got that! We are really excited to have our kids dive into this new type of music. Your support will help our students explore. Our program is doing so well, we just need a little help making it even better!
