Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a special education teacher in a Title I school district. My high school students are currently learning Geometry and Algebra 2. Math is a very challenging subject for many of them, as they often struggle to grasp the material and meet the learning objectives.
The district purchased apps available on a iPad will provide my students with easy access to practice math problems.
Additionally, the latest iPad would allow my students to either catch up on concepts they find difficult or move ahead if they already understand the lesson. This access to modern technology would greatly benefit my students in learning math more effectively.
For visual learners, the graphics capabilities of the new iPad would help them better understand mathematical concepts. The iPad would remain in the classroom so that students without internet or personal devices at home could use it to practice after completing their classwork. It would also be available during after-school and lunchtime tutorials.
I am very excited about the opportunity to incorporate the latest technology into our math classroom. It will help all my students reach their full academic potential.
