Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teacher over 80 students who are English language learners. Many of them are newcomers to the country (from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and several Spanish-speaking countries), and need rapid English language acquisition in order to succeed academically. In order to learn, students must stay healthy, and have their social and emotional needs met. I incorporate cooperative learning, hands-on activities, and art projects as much as possible.
These items will be used by teachers and tutors to instruct multilingual learners in developing English proficiency in the language domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Instructional supplies will support the development of vocabulary, literacy, math, and science content.
