This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth-grade students are from Bridgeport Connecticut. This is a low-income district with very little funding. The students live a short walking distance from our school. At our school, we teach our children all of the core subjects as well as social skills. We work to develop each child academically, socially, and emotionally.
My class consists of 29 students from all backgrounds.
We have many students who speak English as a second language. My students love school. They look forward to coming to school each day. They feel safe, loved, and well cared for here.
My Project
Hope for a return to normal is not enough! I am ready to reorganize my classroom and welcome students back in person. I want it to be better than normal!
White boards will be a fun way of monitoring student learning.
I am anxious to welcome students back into the classroom. The materials I am hoping for are things to spruce up the classroom. I can’t believe how much I miss using simple white boards, colored paper, markers and anything not technology based! If I feel this way I’m sure the students feel the same way.
My class and future classes will enjoy theses materials or years to come.
