My students are avid readers who are excited for the newest books. We encourage students to read across all genres throughout middle school and the reading culture here is quite strong. Students frequently come to the library looking for books within certain genres to meet their reading goals.
The students here deserve to have books that are high interest and recently published.
Middle school years are formative and we want to build life-long readers.
My Project
Our biography section is old and outdated. To help our students continue to read across genres, we need memoirs and biographies that will interest them. These books will completely revamp this section of the library. Students will be so excited to see books about people they know and care about. I will be able to recommend biographies for students to try.
With these new books, we will be able to get rid of many of the old and outdated books we currently have and this will brighten up the whole section and make it much more appealing to our young readers.
These books will be a huge improvement to the library.
