Help me give my students some great new books for our school library
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Glaser's classroom raised $417

My Students
We have a very diverse student population at our school. They all get along very well, and it is one of the things I love about our school. We have students from many different countries, cultures and ethnicity.
We have about fifteen hundred students in our school, and the majority qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
About twenty-five percent of our students are also English as Second Language students.
All of our students love to use the library and find great new books to read.
My Project
I am the school librarian at my high school, and we have no money to buy new books. This is the 5th year in a row where the library was given no budget. Our students crave new books to read. We currently rely on the occasional donation from the community for new books. These donations are wonderful, but they are only a trickle of new books here and there. Our library needs an infusion of new books to create an excitement for reading in our school. It is really sad when a student asks for a particular book, and I have to tell them that our library does not have it.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
