Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are very curious about books and are learning how to use them. Your investment would help us get both spiral-bound books and push-button books for our library, as well as a sofa for them to sit. The spiral-bound books help students who are learning how to physically use books, and the push-button books help draw and focus attention to books. Additionally, we need new chairs for the adults in our program. We are sorely in need of new rolling chairs for the staff to better assist the students. Since our program is for preschoolers, the furniture is also primarily for the students and as you might expect, that furniture is pretty low to the ground! That makes it hard for the adults to sit with the students at our tables, as our bodies are just a little bigger than the kids.
