Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What makes my students special are their bravery and determination to be in school after living most of their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe that COVID-19 has impacted learning over the past year and a half by taking away many social and academic opportunities from students.

Having materials such as a listening center (portable CD player), playdough modeling compounds, math, and alphabet games will help my students build positive peer relationships and give them the opportunity to learn in a variety of fun, educational ways.

Having materials such as a classroom doorbell, journals, and seatback pockets will help in the organization of my class. These resources will specifically be used as activities/centers during reading or math small group rotations within my classroom.
