My Project
Many of our instruments are broken or missing parts. My goal is to replace our old instruments with working class sets of each instrument, including Boomwhackers, wood blocks, tambourines, guiros, egg shakers, rhythm sticks, claves, mallets and replacement parts for xylophones. I incorporate instruments into daily lessons, especially for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Playing instruments benefits student development through fine motor and gross motor skills, midline crossing, coordination, concentration and overall engagement in making music.
