New Homes for Our Books!

My students need durable book baskets that will LAST!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. D.'s classroom raised $308

My Students

"Do you know where that book is? I really want to read it!" "Oh, it's Realistic Fiction? That means it's in one of the purple bins!"

My students are very enthusiastic readers.

Having a more organized library system really helps me loan books successfully to the 150+ students in our 6th grade. I can instead focus on making sure that there are challenging and exciting books in the library!

My Project

Having genres color-coded really helps my students who are adjusting to a non-leveled classroom library! For the first time, they are not being assessed and are instead free to explore...challenge themselves with more advanced books and take breaks with easier, fun titles.

Having a clear library system helps students keep the library organized and really allows us to focus on WHAT to read...not WHERE to find it!

This coded system is an awesome form of "training wheels" for these early adolescent readers; it helps them develop greater autonomy in what they choose to read!
