New Engaging and Simple Materials for Students With Autism

Help me give my students materials that they can use independently, like the pop beads, the twist animal builders, and the magnetic vehicles.

My Project

My classroom was created mid year and has few items for the students to work on by themselves. Independence is a big pilar of the special education realm. The children need materials that are simple yet open ended and engaging. Due to opening this classroom later in the year the materials were left overs from other classrooms. Not the most apealing! I have spent many hours purchasing and creating materials that are relevent and apealing.

The children have mostly a autism diagnosis and most have just turned three.

My students are learning how to seperate from their families, work independently, and work in small groups. The few materials I have are getting "old" for my students. These new items will let them play by themselves or with a friend. Most of the goals they have are to stay on task and finish a task and take turns and work with peers. These materials will help support them with their goals.
