My Students
My Junior High Baseball athletes come from a variety of backgrounds. Thirty students have reported to our pre-season meetings, the largest turnout our program has seen in recent history. Some have played summer AAU baseball and some have never played a day in their life. Many of the younger athletes have participated in our local little league for the past several years. They have been asking me all year about baseball. I’m excited to see what skills they may bring to this new season.
My Project
This project includes newly customized jerseys for my team. Our jerseys last year were very simple and not the highest quality. The colors have faded and bled into each other over time, giving them an older appearance. These new jerseys should make my players feel like they are a part of a great program.
Before the pandemic caused schools to stop competing, our team would show up to tournaments or events in their older jerseys.
Other teams often had much nicer and newer jerseys. Now we can arrive and play in new and more fashionable jerseys, looking like a real team!
