My Students

I teach a wide range of students in a close-knit class. We are nestled in the outskirts of Atlanta in a TItle I, STEAM school. My classroom houses students who cover a wide range of abilities, talents, interests, cultural backgrounds, and more. Some speak dual languages. Some speak one. Some love art more than others, and some love reading more when their work is done.

Despite their differences, my students put forth their best efforts on a daily basis.

We do not all learn at the same pace, but we all make progress in our own time. I'm proud to say that each of my students has made progress.

My Project

Our old rug has been worn thin for years. A comfortable new rug will provide an alternative learning environment in our classroom. Tables and chairs are necessary for doing some work, but let’s face it, we all need a change of scenery sometimes. Having a rug space will provide a learning place for storytime, calendar time, group writing sessions, and science and social studies lessons. We also use our rug area to spread out during small group work. Thanks for helping us get a new rug to achieve an ideal learning environment!
