My Students

My first graders are a great group of students! My classroom is made up of thirty eager first graders. I also have a wide range of reading and math abilities in my classroom. My reading levels range from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. It's important that I read with these children every day to get them on grade level by the end of the year. Many of my students are very low readers, speak English as a second language and get free or reduced price lunch. These students will do anything for anybody. We are always bringing the best out of everyone. Despite my students' backgrounds, they all have one thing in common and that is their love of learning and helping others.

My Project

When my class checks out our classroom computer, students carefully collect the laptop and use it at their tables or desks. My younger children sit on the carpeted floor with them. Some students may be completing Internet research or writing, while other kids often read interactive e-books. All of this technology is very expensive and I would like to see our students carrying these laptops covered with cases to protect them. With the movement of these laptops, we need protective good lasting cases. I would also like a small table and chairs to keep the laptops at. My students would have a nice and comfortable place to keep these in.

Future students will also have a major role in using these table, chairs, and laptop cases.
