it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarten is such an exciting grade. Each year students come to me eager and ready to learn. The students' buzz around learning letters, sounds, and how to read is so thrilling. It inspiring to watch these students work so hard each and every day.
Having an organized library where students can get comfy and increase their love for reading is our aim.
I want students to have a desire to spend time in an inviting and organized classroom library where they can get acquainted with all sorts of books! My hope is to help create readers who are confident in their abilities and who have a deep-rooted love for reading overall! The fun seats like the ottomans on our list, with help with that!
Specific items such as the cubby boxes will help us house students' individual library books. The cabinet will help me store the students' decodable texts and their different reading intervention materials. The other organization items, such as the plastic storage containers will help me house and organize reading intervention materials such as laminated phonemic awareness cards, reading manipulatives, and other reading intervention materials that we use throughout the school year.
These items will help me create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom library that is organized and easy to navigate for my kindergarten students. Thank you for your help in making this wish come true!
