My Project
Comfortable, safe seating is an important and necessary element to any learning environment. Unfortunately, our seating options are rapidly becoming less comfortable and safe each day. New classroom chairs will allow students to comfortably and safely access materials and engage in learning tasks individually or in groups.
Some of the seats in my classroom are currently being held together with duct tape and pool noodles.
In addition, the seat padding is beginning to wear thin and in some instances coming out altogether. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with unique learning needs. These students need and deserve comfortable and safe seating options while learning Math, ELA, Social Emotional, and Life Skills in an inclusive environment with their peers.
