My Students

Kindergarten is a time where students learn independence. What better way to encourage students to work independently than during center time. Centers give students the opportunity to work in cooperative groups to refine the skills they have already been taught.

I teach twenty-four students who are eager to learn.

It is the first classroom experience for many of my students. They are at an age where center time is one of the most meaningful and exciting times of the day. So many concepts can be reinforced during independent center time. My students come from many different cultural backgrounds. Some of my students come from low income families who qualify for free or reduced price lunch.

My Project

The Instant Learning Centers will provide step-by-step picture instructions and hands-on activities that will reinforce the common core math and literacy standards. The instant centers make independent math practice and sentence building a snap! The centers are perfect for small groups of up to 4 children, and they come with everything kids need to complete super-involving activities that cover a wide range of early math and literacy skills. The instant centers are specially designed for independent exploration. The students will use illustrated activity mats and tons of word tiles, number combinations and counters to explore sentences and math problems at their own pace!

As you know, the budget crisis is making it very difficult for schools to adequately supply classrooms with all of the materials they need to help students succeed.

The Centers requested were carefully selected to develop math and literacy skills while encouraging a stress free environment. With your support, we can continue learning with these centers for years to come.
