Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Two years ago, our school learned it would be receiving a brand new building after decades of learning and growing in aging, repurposed, and outdated facilities...and we have been excitedly watching the construction from our classroom windows and playgrounds ever since! This Spring we will finally be moving into this amazing new campus and our health office would love to be able to shine as bright as our new classrooms with some much needed replacements and additions to our equipment.
It is vital for students to be healthy to be ready to learn and our health services staff takes this mission seriously!
In order to do so, it is vital to organize our space for efficiency to minimize missed classroom/instructional time. An upgraded and complete vision screening set would be a great improvement to the worn and partial set we currently utilize; while a weight scale would be a welcome addition to the equipment we currently have.
We are ready to settle into our new space and can't wait to be able to serve our Saluda students with new and improved health tools!
