New Bright Rug, New Brighter Year!

My students need a new classroom rug. our current rig is pretty old and our rug is used many times during the day. It's important that our rug is clean, colorful and shows letters AND numbers.

My Students

My students come from a neighborhood of severe poverty and hardship. They come to school with a smile everyday in spite of some of the hardships they are facing at home and are ready to learn and engage in activities.

My school is special for sure.

While we deal with some intense emotional and behavioral issues, we have so many moments of happiness and laughter with these students that I hope are making a difference in their lives. Our staff is one of a kind. Our teachers work so hard to get through to these kids and do whatever it takes to help them come closer to success.

I want my classroom to be warm and welcoming to my students and a big part of that is providing a safe, CLEAN, colorful, engaging, and nurturing environment.

My Project

A new clean and colorful classroom rug will add color to our classroom as well as replace our old rug that is in desperate need of replacement. My students sit on our rug many times throughout the day and they deserve a new and clean place to sit and engage as a class daily!

This project I've created is not only a new and clean rug but one that has letters and numbers to enhance both language arts/reading skills and math.

There are so many different engaging learning activities we can do with this new rug and I'm hoping we get the donations to get this funded!
