Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my class are excited about a new school year and a new teacher. As their first teacher in the middle school building, I am hoping to help them with a smooth transition.

My students are all children who come from low-income families and have moderate to severe disabilities.

They enjoy opportunities to take a break from working hard and enjoy sensory items. Though I have not met my students I am hoping to meet their needs to the bets of my abilities.

My Project

Some of the books in this project are guided reading books that are at the specific level of reading that my students have. My students have already read all of the books in their reading levels. These books will help me support then where they are reading now and be prepared for when they move to the next level. Very few of our books now are new and I know my students will be excited to have new books in their hands that are just for them.

We also have a set of books that will help us with our social emotional needs.

The text will help us read and understand different situations with our friends and emotions to help us cope and navigate the world more successfully.
