it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Advisory students are about to become 8th graders. I would love to be able to provide my students with new additions to our classroom library that will keep them excited about reading, while also pushing them to take on more challenging books. My goal is to expose students to great storytelling, and also provide some popular books that students have requested in the past.
Reading is a gateway to building empathy and a better understanding of our world; my hope is that with more reading options students can open new doors for themselves and unlock their potential.
Students sometimes say that reading isn't fun for them - I'd love to show them that all they need is a great story to motivate them to continue.
I hope to support each student over the next year, and I am excited to return to the classroom in the fall with new literature. Thank you for your continued support of me and my students!
