Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a very diverse group of 4th graders. They are inquisitive, energetic, kind, and hard working. These children are not only diverse in who they are, but also in how they learn and their interests.

Flexible seating options will address their differences in what helps them focus when they have to stay in one place.

Many of my students will prefer to sit or lay on the floor while reading or working. Floor pillows and a rug will make this much more comfortable and welcoming.

The diverse books provide my students with characters they can relate to, and/or learn from. They also provide different styles of readers a variety of choices.
