This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having more options for independent reading ensures that students are more motivated to read in and out of class. I am requesting books that my students have expressed interest in. I am proud that my students are advocating for their needs and speaking up on what could motivate them to read more.

I teach many multilingual scholars who would benefit from having access to bilingual dictionaries.

I have native speakers of Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Chinese who need to look up words or definitions while they are reading or writing. These dictionaries would support student language acquisition and provide students with another tool to fluency in English.
