This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am truly convinced that I have the best first grade class! I teach 22 vibrant students who all have their own unique personalities. They make teaching such a joy and I look forward to working with them each day.

My students work hard, shine bright, and continue to amaze me each and everyday.

Getting this project funded would be beneficial to get my students fresh materials that we need. Using the same materials for almost seven years has started to take a toll on them. I would love to be able to give my students new whiteboards, erasers, and seating for our library to get them even more motivated to come to school and give their all each day. My students use whiteboards daily when we do activities as a whole class and they also use them to demonstrate their thinking as they work during math time. They have a true love for reading and want to read whenever we have a free moment, but unfortunately we don't have a designated place where they can read comfortably. These materials would make a huge difference in our day to day routine.
