My students need storage for their independent reading books.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. E.'s classroom raised $652
This project is fully funded
My Students
Every morning we Drop Everything and Reading (D.E.A.R). Each day students read from their D.E.A.R. bags. The bags have 10 books on their current reading level. The students love picking out their new books each week. Unfortunately, our storage for books is lacking.
We're a small classroom in a small town.
We range from 13-22 students students per class each year. I currently have 13 first graders. They are wonderful students and are always eager to learn. They are some of the best students I've ever had!
My Project
Students would access the book carts on a daily basis. 2-3 students switch out their books every morning. These book carts would allow the students to access the books more easily. The bins would be more sturdy and stationary for the students to access. They wouldn't have to worry about the bins falling over because they are made for these carts.
These shelving units would free up space and make the independent leveled library books more accessible to the students.
It would put the books in their reach and allow students to choose the books that are just right for them. We have the books, we just need a place to put them.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
More than half of students from low‑income households
