My Students

Upper grade students visit Science Lab twice a week for an hour each time to explore with hands-on Science experiments and experiences. Students are able to take charge of their learning and experience the scientific world in a classroom where risks and exploration are welcome.

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge" -Albert Einstein

All 4th, 5th and 6th grades all have unique experiences in Science Lab with a wide variety of student needs.

My Project

The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". That's exactly what my classroom is founded on. Students learn through play and exploration.

Combine Science and creativity, and you've got yourself a fun and engaging learning environment.

These materials will help foster an environment that encourages creativity and openness. Students are in charge of their learning path. These materials will allow my students to continue to be engaged through play.

Lego Base-plates will allow for the students to have a blank canvas to create their projects on. The Lego bricks will be added to our classroom Lego collection. These Lego bricks go into color coordinated bins so the students know exactly where to grab from. Students are able to easy access their materials of their choosing.

These materials will be used in 4th, 5th and 6th grade Science lessons and will help with lessons such as:

Earthquake safe videos

Earth Spheres Building Project

Science and Engineering projects

Animal Adaptations- Creating their own Animal and Environment

Creative Play and SO MUCH MORE!
