This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kiddos are passionate, lively, deep thinkers, and enjoy being challenged. I am constantly trying to engage them through different tasks such as, hands on labs, centers, drawings, partner work, technology, projects and many more.

My students range from gifted to special needs and I must incorporate different learning activities to reach all of them.

Our school has a high rate of free and reduced lunch.Many of my students are unable to afford the supplies they need to be successful in school. I never want that to be an issue that causes my kids to not succeed.

Even with the struggles my kids face they always come to school and give a 110%. They are excited to be in school and in my class. I cannot think of a more rewarding job than teaching.

My Project

We use multiple learning techniques in my class. Tasks cards are a major ways I help reach all learners. Use bright catchy colors helps engage the learners in the task. Posters, projects, and interactive notebooking pages are important in class to capture their learning. We like to complete these pages in color to make them stand out. We use our whiteboards at least three times a day to check for understanding and often run out of expo markers before the end of the year. Learning to find textual evidence is key in proving that students understand the question. Students use highlighters to go and underline their proof. I never want a student to not be successful because they cannot afford the needed supplies.
