This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my 11th year of teaching, and each year it becomes more and more clear that students can't meet their fullest potential in education on an empty stomach.

Many students worry about when their next meal will be, but in my room, I want to take that worry away.

Having snacks available to my students throughout the day will give them peace of mind that they will not have to be hungry today. With procedures in place, students absolutely can and should be eating in the classroom every day.

I also want to provide feminine products for my students in a care locker. I don't want my students to ever feel embarrassed.
