This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to create a new type of art with my students that is extremely popular right now. It requires using Posca paint markers to create Neon/drip art. My students love Posca markers but they are expensive. They would be great for this project because Posca's are colorful, easy to use, and work great on black paper.

I am looking for 15 sets of 8 markers and 1 set of 16 markers for more color choices.

Students benefit from using as many art materials as they can get their hands on because it increases creativity. My students love new materials and are more creative and engaged when they use new things.

To create Neon art specifically, you need black paper and Posca paint markers. The Posca markers work well on black paper and there colors stay true on the dark colored paper. The bright colors are a contrast on the black paper creating a neon effect. This is such a magical visual effect and my students have expressed creating neon art. The only thing missing is the paint pens.

My students are special because they all love coming to art and creating new things. They are always enthusiast about creating and have become so comfortable expressing themselves, which is not always easy to do. I love teaching them all different types of are with all materials. My students are the best!
