My Project
This equipment is going to help 2nd through 4th-grade students be able to learn and practice different net sports skills. Currently, at my school, we do not have nets to use during net sports units. The students will be able to get real-time practice for sports like tennis, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball. With this equipment, we will be able to create 2 small courts to optimize student's practice time during their class time.
As a physical education teacher, I want to be able to expose students to a variety of sports that they can participate in so that they can hopefully love the sport and play it throughout their lifetime to maintain physical fitness in their adult lives.
My students love to learn new skills in sports but often do not get enough practice because they do not have access to the equipment outside of school time. This new equipment will provide them with ample amount of practice time for each of the specific sports skills.
