My Students

We've waited and waited on pins and needles for the wireless laptops! And now we have them! Yeah! We just need to add some accessories to make them complete!

My students are wonderful!

They are a group of students of mixed races, gender, and levels of instruction. I have students who work at high levels and love to be challenged, down to students who need that extra push. We are an elementary school that is working hard to get our students ready for the 21st century!

My Project

Technology is our friend! My class has definitely inherited the "technology bug" from me! I am constantly incorporating technology into what we do in the classroom. However, because I practice differentiated instruction, my students are using the laptops for a variety of lessons that use audio. One student could be on Faast Math, another could be "playing" a Math game, another could be watching a Math video on United Streaming... So much going on, and so much sound! We need headphones in order for them to concentrate and focus. We need the mouse pad so that we can protect the mouse that is being used so vigorously!

Our students are used to being bombarded by so many outside distractions, they find it very hard to focus.

The headphones would be a way to eliminate all other distractions and allow my students to focus on their individual assignment and allow the impact that using technology brings.
