Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a low socioeconomic area with a high population of Hispanic students. So many of my students are bright bilingual students. I truly enjoy coming to work every day to be with these students. They are eager to learn and they inspire me. I have a classroom of 20 beautiful children.
My students are smart, eager, and deserve to have the best materials that they can get in order to be successful in kindergarten.
My classroom does not have a rug and any shelving to store book and materials.
My Project
Our classroom could really use an iPad. My students rotate through centers and technology is one of our centers. My students love when it is their time to rotate to the technology center, the main concern is the outdated desktop computers that are in the technology center. Their world is full of touch screen technology and a desktop does not provide that. I do have one iPad in my classroom, but having an extra iPad would really benefit my students and give them greater access to current technology. The iPad would be a used everyday and the students will love it!
