Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Special needs students need individualized instruction and modifications. This means a lot of printing and laminating to keep literacy and math center games and flash cards intact. They are also very artistic and creative and need to preserve their art work.

I teach 13 wonderful students in a self contained classroom on the Lower East Side.

Our school is Title I eligible. My students face many different delays and are eager to learn. They get very excited when they finally get it or create their masterpiece.

My Project

I laminate all the students' center games and flash cards that help them with reading and math to extend their use in the classroom. These center games and flash cards help my students improve their reading, writing and math levels. We used our current laminator so much, it finally quit working. We will use the larger capacity laminating machine and laminating pouches to cover our academic center games and our art pieces.
